Talisman assignment: find an object no larger than a coffee cup that for you represents the personality/essence of your assigned. business. The object must be transformed/altered by you in some way to represent what you understand so far about the brand of your business and its unique personality. Think about this in terms of the “brand essence.

 

Mood Boards

Create a brand mood board using found imagery, both literal and conceptual, that represents the brand essence of your small business. Include the following references: Color, pattern, texture, form, and words and graphics that support and represent your brand’s unique identity. Do not use provided photographs from Google Drive! Please have the brand mood board posted in Google Drive for Tuesday's class.

 

Brand touchpoint diagram

Using the given overall dimensions for your business, create a simple axonometric diagram that documents the spatial volume including accurate ceiling heights, front façade, and extent of the sidewalk.  Then, using the provided photographs of your business, identify and locate 10 key Brand Touchpoints that convey the unique identity, personality, and brand essence of your business. Use collage techniques, text, color and materials to represent the qualities of your selected touchpoints within the spatial volume.  The finished diagram should align with the Brand Essence represented in your Brand Mood Board. These could include the following:

  1. Specific program elements

  2. Architectural Features

  3. Decorative items

  4. Colors, materials and finishes 

  5. Environmental graphics/signage
